sign of the times

What is it called when you get to a new peak in your performance and go just past that and boom your recovery time doubles? Then for a week you feel puny and don't seem to have the leg strength to do 15 miles at a fast pace, what is that?  You push and push and push and hit a wall that reminds me of the knight in  a monty python movie saying none shall pass. Then one morning you wake up and you are a whole new level,,,lets hope it's soon.
 So as I was browsing the Versus site I found some great stuff hope you enjoy!
